Modern Kitchen Sink Options

Looking to redo your kitchen or replace your sink? There are a few different options available today, and we have experience installing all of them. As an experienced Maryland plumber, we wanted to take some time to talk about the different kinds of sinks you can have installed in your kitchen.

Modern Kitchen Sink Options

Top Mount Sinks

Also known as a drop-in sink or a self-rimming sink, top mount sinks are the kind most commonly found in kitchens. To install them a hole will be cut into the countertop, and the sink will be caulked in.

Undermount Sinks

Undermount sinks are similar to top mount ones, except instead of sitting in a hole in your countertop, they’re mounted beneath the hole. If you’re looking for a sleek modern design, undermounted sinks may be what you’re looking for.

Flush-Mount Sinks

These sinks are completely level with your countertops, meaning if there’s a spill you can push it right into the sink. They can be difficult to install, so we recommend you only trust their installation with a professional plumbing company in Maryland.

Integrated Sinks

Similar to flush-mounted sinks, except integrated sinks are made out of the same material as the countertops, making for a seamless transition. This is a great look, and one that’s been increasing in popularity in recent years.
