WELL WATER SYSTEM SERVICES

If you’re not close enough to any city water systems, you’ll have to get your water from a personal well. At Michael Runk Plumbing and Heating, we offer a lot of general plumbing services, and that includes a good number of well services.

Wells are usually made by drilling deep into the ground and then lowering a pump down. Most home well systems contain a pump, a pitless adapter, a pressure storage tank, and a number of water lines. Here is a comprehensive list of all our home well pump services:

WELL PUMP INSTALLATION

Most homes that need well pumps will already have them when you buy them, but should yours fail, or should you have a need for another one, we offer our well pump installation services throughout most of Maryland. Installing a well pump can be a difficult task, and is usually one best left to real plumbers, so while you may be able to save a little bit of money up front by hiring an amateur contractor off of Facebook, usually their poor install jobs end up costing you more in the long run.

WELL PUMP AND WELL LINE REPAIRS

If you’ve been noticing a decrease in your home’s water pressure, or a change in your water’s color, you’ve likely got an issue somewhere in your line or with the pump itself. Well pumps, and the lines that connect them to your home are buried deep underground, and can be difficult to work on. Typically, their repair is best left to a professional Maryland plumbing company.

PITLESS ADAPTER REPAIRS

Your pitless adapter prevents the water in your system from freezing while it’s below ground level. When a pitless adapter fails, you should notice a lack of pressure, or may notice that your pump is constantly cycling. If something happens to your adapter, you’ll want to get it fixed quickly, or it could lead to more issues with the rest of your system. Allowing your system to run with a failed pitless adapter can lead to your water lines freezing, which can lead to failures and damages across your whole system.

PRESSURE TANK INSTALLATION

The pressure tank is an important part of your well system, without it, there would be no way to pump the water up out of the ground. Sometimes your pressure tank will fail before the rest of your system does, and when this happens, you will need to have a new one installed if the old one cannot be repaired. We offer and install a wide range of models and brands of pressure tanks.
